Marjorie Barretto Breaks Silence About Mommy Inday’s Death

This is what Marjorie Barretto said about her mother’s death.

In an Instagram post, Marjorie Barretto finally expressed her thoughts after her mother, Mommy Inday, passed away on January 29.

Estrella “Inday” Barretto was 89 years old at the time of her passing. Her son Joaquin confirmed this sad news on social media, and her youngest, actress Claudine Barretto, also shared her thoughts about this heartbreaking happening in their lives.

Mommy Inday’s death came nearly seven years after her husband Miguel died. Inday and Miguel have seven children together, namely Miguel Antonio, Michelle Barretto, Jay-Jay Barretto, Gia Barretto, Gretchen Barretto, Marjorie Barretto, and Claudine Barretto.

A couple of days after her passing, Marjorie finally found the courage after processing that their family is yet again suffering from the pain of loss. This time, it was their family’s matriarch.

She expressed in a post, “It took me some time to post, as I was still processing every emotion while making funeral arrangements. These feelings were made even more raw by the loss of my brother just four months ago.”

Marjorie recalled the finally moments she had with her mother. It was the moments when she felt and found God’s grace even in life’s hardest moments. She can vividly remember the quiet, intimate afternoons with her, who still try hard to be her normal self, sharp-minded, gently chatty, and filled with laughter despite her frailty.

For her, the greatest grace was the stillness of the moment when she passed away. It was peaceful, intimate, and shared only with close family. She was the time she believed God lovingly orchestrated, offering not just goodbye, but healing.

She wrote, “They say we don’t always get closure in life. Knowing God was calling my mom home, I believe He gave me something even greater, the chance to be with her at her bedside, a grace that allowed me to heal.”

Marjorie asked her followers to include her beautiful, feisty, strong, funny, and loving mother in their prayers, as she finally reunites with their father and brother.
