A netizen claimed that Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala did not want to be photographed with Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo.
Rumor has it that Kathryn and Mark have been dating since last year. Speculations surfaced that they were spotted together at certain establishments. A rumor also surfaced that they went to Australia for a vacation, as they were reportedly spotted at the airport almost at the same time.
Early this month, a netizen shared a photo of a couple, who appeared to be Mark and Kathryn, sitting beside each other at a restaurant. Fans of the actress slammed the uploader as they believed that the woman with Mark was not Kathryn.
However, the uploader released a statement defending herself, and even though she apologized, she did not retract the previous claim she made regarding the photo.
A recent post on Reddit showed screenshots of a post on X, formerly Twitter. Netizen @lurkersagilid shared on r/ChikaPH a screenshot of an X post, showing that Kathryn Bernardo posed for a photo with the staff of Melos Steak House.
The post claimed that the actress was with Mayor Mark Alcala at that time. However, it was said that the politician was in the “private room” on the second floor, which he rented exclusively. The uploader of that said photo also claimed that a worker at that restaurant was a friend, and so, the post was visible.
Apparently, this was contested by the fans of the actress. However, the uploader shared a screenshot of a comment from Facebook. A netizen asked the Lucena City Mayor, and the answer was “yes.”
Meanwhile, Mayor Mark Alcala received criticism from netizens last week, as a social media user claimed that the head of the Lucena City local government has not returned to duty yet after the holidays, even though he has not filed for leave.
As of this writing, the rumored couple has not yet spoken about the real score between them.
