Why are people suddenly apologizing to Liza Soberano? The actress recently aired her confusion after a lot of people online came to her, apologizing. She was confused, and it appeared that it was about her past statement about the love team culture in the country.
In a previous article, Soberano’s controversial “love team” remark went viral. She expressed that in the Philippines, this is one way to become big in the local entertainment industry.
“Some love teams don’t actually date in real life, but you’re not allowed to say that. The thing is, in the beginning of the love team, too, you’re not allowed to say you are dating because you want to keep the fans kind of hungry for you guys to be actually dating,” she explained back then.
Years after she made this remark, some love team fans of the current time had some realizations, prompting them to apologize to Soberano. The apologies confused the actress, but there were some who kindly explained to her the reason behind the buzz.
“Why are people saying sorry to me? I’m so confused,” she expressed, then added, “Wait now I’m even more confused hahaha. Gets na about love teams but who are the shippers and who is being shipped?”
One follower stated that she was canceled before, only to be proven right all along about the love team culture. She then added that she failed to expound her statements before explaining the reason why she was criticized, and many got offended.
She believes many people did not understand where she was coming from when she expressed it publicly.
