This is why Nadine Lustre was absent from the parade.
“Call Me Mother” star Nadine Lustre reveals the reason why she was absent from the Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 parade.
The Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 has already kicked off with the traditional Parade of Stars. This event showcased the colorful floats of the eight official movie entries in this year’s edition. Several roads were closed in Makati and Pasay to allow the floats to pass through.

It started at the World Trade Center in Pasay City and ended at the Circuit Makati compound. The MMFF Gabi ng Parangal will be held on December 27.
While it was an eventful affair, many people noticed the absence of Nadine Lustre, one of the stars of “Call Me Mother.” Recently, she has explained why she was not there. According to her, she took her yearly sabbatical for her health, and her co-star, Vice Ganda, allowed her to do this.
Vice also previously explained that before her absence, Nadine already did her part by working on a series of promotional content prior to her leave.
“I had to take my yearly sabbatical, it’s very important for me to take care of my health and nagpaalam naman ako kay Ate Vice [Ganda],” Nadine said.
