Duterte’s Ex-Spokesman Harry Roque Posts Message for Sen. Bato dela Rosa
HARRY ROQUE – The former Spokesman of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte claimed that the International Criminal Court (ICC) released an arrest warrant versus Senator Bato dela Rosa.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte remains detained under the custody of the ICC after the foreign court denied his interim release plea. Amid the continued detention of the former President and the call of his supporters for his interim release, Ombudsman Boying Remulla previously claimed that the foreign court has allegedly issued an arrest warrant against Sen. Bato dela Rosa.

Sen. Bato dela Rosa was the first chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) during the tenure of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. According to Ombudsman Boying Remulla, he allegedly has a copy of the reported ICC arrest warrant against Sen. Bato dela Rosa. He also claimed that the other concerned parties not confirming it does not allegedly invalidate his claim.
Dela Rosa filed a motion before the Supreme Court asking it to compel Remulla to release a copy of the alleged ICC arrest warrant against him. In its ruling, the court denied the plea of the former PNP chief.

According to Ombudsman Remulla, the alleged ICC arrest warrant against Dela Rosa allegedly has to go through several channels first. He also stressed that its implementation is an executive function.
Since the Ombudsman claimed that the ICC has supposedly issued an arrest warrant against him, Dela Rosa is no show during the Senate sessions. His lawyer, Atty. Israelito Torreon, previously claimed that he is not hiding and he just waits for the government to clarify its course of actions.

Recently, Duterte’s former spokesman, Harry Roque, who is currently in The Hague, Netherlands claimed that the ICC has allegedly issued an arrest warrant against Sen. Bato dela Rosa. In his post, he told the former PNP Chief-turned-Senator to now allow to be arrested and brought to The Hague.
Through his post, Harry Roque also advised Sen. Bato dela Rosa to insist that he has the right to be brought before a Philippine court first. The camp of the Senator has yet to comment on the claim of Duterte’s former Spokesman.

Previously, Senate Pres. Tito Sotto claimed that Sen. Bato dela Rosa continuously receives his salary despite his long absence from his Senate duties.
