Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Releases Video Message over OVP’s Accomplishments this 2025
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President cited the 2025 accomplishments of the OVP and gave a message for the Filipino people.
The Philippine government is currently surrounded by several issues including the supposed massive corruption through the flood control projects. Amid the corruption issues and accusations against him, resigned former House Budget Appropriations Committee chairman Zaldy Co tagged Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the supposed budget insertion mess.
Zaldy Co claimed that Marcos Jr. and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez were allegedly the masterminds behind a P100-billion budget insertion in the 2025 national fund. The resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative also claimed that Marcos and Romualdez supposedly received a P56-million kickback.
Aside from the corruption accusations hurled against the President, his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, also accused PBBM of allegedly using illegal drugs. The massive accusations against the Chief Executive triggered the call for his resignation.
Amid the said call, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte confirmed that she is ready to be the president if Marcos Jr. resigns. According to her, she understands her mandate as the vice president and she is the next in line in terms of succession.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is also facing corruption allegations over her alleged misuse of the P625-million confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Department of Education. She resigned from being the DepEd Secretary in 2024.

In her message to the Filipino people, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that the OVP will continue to fight against the alleged abuse of some government officials. According to her, her office will continue to show that having a plan is important as well as the excellent implementation of projects, the fight against corruption, as well as the bravery for peace and progress in the country.
