Pokwang Shares Fiery Statement Against Corruption In PH

Pokwang aired her dismay about what is happening in the country

Kapuso comedienne Pokwang had this fiery statement about the corruption in the Philippines.

Pokie is one of the celebrities who actively shares her thoughts on issues concerning Filipinos and the whole country. She was one of the celebrities who joined the Trillion Peso Protests last Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the People Power Monument in EDSA.

The comedienne expressed dismay at the rampant stealing of public funds amid the corruption issue, based on the article in Bandera.

Pokwang stood firm by what she is fighting for, that there should be people who will be held accountable. She was one of many Filipinos who demanded that personalities involved in the corruption issue should be jailed.

During the rally, the Kapuso comedienne stressed that the government should give attention to the needs of Filipino workers, especially those who are paying their taxes properly.

“Ang panawagan ko sa mga lider natin sana bigyan po ninyo ng pansin ang mga nangangailangan lalong-lalo na ang ating mga maliliit na mamamayan, mga maliliit na manggagawa na pinagkakasya ang kanilang maliit na kita,” she said.

She added that the government should provide what they truly deserve as citizens of this country, just like what was being promised.

“‘Yung mga kabataan natin sila, ‘yung mga henerasyon natin, sila ang magtutuloy nang kung ano po ang magandang nasimulan natin. Kaya sana bigya po natin sila ng magandang edukasyon po,” the comedienne added.

Pokwang also highlighted the importance of ensuring the people’s safety in every calamity, especially the flood control issue. She said that this should be enough already.

“Tama na, busog na busog na kayo, kami naman. Please lang po,” Pokwang said.

Meanwhile, during the rally, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray also shared an inspiring speech to the public. She stressed that the Philippine leaders have been too silent about the current issues in the country.
