Someone close to Maricel Soriano was asked about a recent controversy
Diamond Star Maricel Soriano was dragged by Senator Imee Marcos in her revelation about her brother, President Bongbong Marcos.
During the INC rally against corruption, Sen. Imee shocked a lot of people when she claimed that PBBM is an illegal drug user, and allegedly, this has been happening for a long time. She also alleged that this even worsened when her brother married First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
The Senator added that, allegedly, PBBM’s children started using illegal drugs as well. This issue from Sen. Imee was immediately debunked by the First Family. However, the Senator is not backing out. She even dared her PBBM and his family to undergo a hair follicle drug test.

In the Senator’s revelation, she also mentioned Maricel Soriano, who was allegedly one of the personalities who appeared on the war on drugs list of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Noong 2016, kasabay ng kampanya ni dating Pangulong Duterte laban sa droga, lumabas ang pangalan ni Bongbong sa listahan! Nakasama siya sa listahan ng mga celebrities, mga artista, Maricel Soriano at iba pa,” the Senator said.
Based on the article by entertainment writer Jun Lalin in Abante, someone close to the Diamond Star said that she has no plan to respond to the statement made by Sen. Imee Marcos.

“Hindi namin papatulan ‘yung sinabi ni Imee. Bakit? Saka maganda ang mood namin ngayon. ‘Yung movie ni Marya, ang lakas sa takilya. Doon na lang kami magpo-focus kesa patulan ‘yung sinabi ni Imee,” the source said.
With this, Lalin said that it was just right that Maricel should no longer answer because he pointed out that, as the saying goes, “The burden of proof lies on the accuser.”
Meanwhile, Maricel Soriano is now busy promoting her movie Meet, Greet, and Bye with Piolo Pascual, JK Labajo, Belle Mariano, and Joshua Garcia. It is a family movie directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana.
