Mother Questions Low Grade Given to Her Child Despite High Test Scores
A mother became upset after a teacher gave her child low grades despite the child getting high scores in tests.
Recently, Ailyn Maximo Nicolas, a Facebook user, shared a photo of her child’s report card, where the child received barely passing grades from the teacher. The post quickly went viral and gained reactions online.
In her post, Ailyn showed her child’s report card, where the student received barely passing marks for the first and second quarters. She explained that her child had been studying hard to raise her grades after getting a 75 in the first quarter.
According to her, she could not understand why the grade was so low, especially since he consistently scored well in quizzes and exams.
Nicolas shared how surprised and disappointed they were when the same low grade appeared again in the second quarter. She insisted that her daughter was capable, and she knew his strengths better than anyone.
The woman also pointed out that since kindergarten, her child had always been among the honor students and had never received such low marks before.
Ailyn questioned what the teacher might have against her daughter and stressed that previous teachers had recognized the child’s hard work and academic performance. She said it felt unfair that only this teacher gave her such a grade, especially when her test scores did not reflect that low mark.
The lady netizen even remarked that if the teacher truly felt the child deserved a low grade, he might as well have given a failing score instead of just passing him.
Ailyn admitted they had little choice but to accept the grade if that was what the teacher believed the child deserved. She ended her post saying that if this decision made the teacher happy, then there was nothing more they could do.

Sa second guarter sa subject na Math dahil hindi nya Alam Kong bakit binigyan sya ng 75 na grades sa 1st quarter, dahil hindi naman dw sya Bobo. pero hindi nya akalain na ganon padin pala ang grades nya sa second quarter,Sir,ano ba problema mo sa kanya. Ako ang Nanay nya, at ako lang ang na kaka Alam ng kakayahan ng Anak ko at mga dating naging teacher nya,Simula kinder, never payan nagkaroon ng grades na ganyan.laging kasama yan sa Honor, Kita nyo naman ang mga grades nya, diba po.
