Press Officer of Malacañang Speaks on Zaldy Co’s ‘Suitcase Photos’
Malacañang reacted to the ‘suitcase photos’ of Zaldy Co amid his corruption accusations against President Bongbong Marcos and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Zaldy Co accused Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former Speaker Martin Romualdez of allegedly receiving kickback from the government’s projects. Through a series of videos posted on social media, he claimed that all P56 billion kickback allegedly went to the President and the former House Speaker.

Co claimed that what the witnesses told the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) that he supposedly received a P21 billion kickback is allegedly not true. According to the former House member, the amount was P56 billion and it was allegedly for Marcos Jr. and Romualdez.
Zaldy Co also confirmed the claims of Orly Guteza that he was part of the team that allegedly delivered suitcases filled with cash to Romualdez. According to Co, the budget insertions allegedly went to Marcos Jr. and the former Speaker and he supposedly got nothing from the P100 billion inserted in the 2025 budget.

Following the claim of Zaldy Co, Senator Rodante Marcoleta called Orly Guteza as the “most credible witness ever”. The Minority Senator was the one who presented Guteza as a “surprise witness” during a Senate flood control hearing.

To back his claims that confirmed the testimony of Orly Guteza about the supposed suitcases filled with cash, Zaldy Co included in his videos photos of the suitcases that allegedly contained the millions of money delivered to former Speaker Martin Romualdez and at the Malacañang.
The Palace previously denied the accusations of Zaldy Co against Marcos Jr. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro has also spoken on the suitcase photos of the former House member amid his corruption accusations against the President.

“Kung ipapakita ba sa iyo yang mga maleta na iyan. Nagpo-prove na iyan ng pera? Wala. Maleta lang,” Castro told DZMM Teleradyo.
Moreover, the Malacañang press official also stressed that the said photos allegedly does not prove anything. Based on the report, she stressed that Zaldy Co is supposedly making up stories.
“Anong na-prove niyan? Wala. Paninira. Gawa-gawang kwento,” the Palace official said.

Recently, the Palace also spoke on the calls for Marcos Jr. to resign after Zaldy Co tagged him in the supposed multi-billion corruption issue in the Philippines.
