Here’s what Richard Gomez said as he makes a showbiz comeback.
Actor-politician Richard Gomez was emotional in front of the media after it was announced that he is making a showbiz comeback.
For some years now, Richard Gomez has focused on being a politician. However, this year, it has been announced that he will be making a showbiz comeback through a film called Salvageland.

The presscon for his comeback film was done in the VIP Cinema of Fisher Mall in Quezon City. While talking with the media people, the actor has become emotional when being interviewed.
He quipped, “Na-miss ko talaga kayo. Naiiyak ako. Na-miss ko lang kayo. Siyempre ang tagal kong artista, di ba? Masarap bumalik sa home turf. Same with you, guys, ang tagal kong nakatrabaho, and then I’ve seen you again, it’s wonderful.”
Currently, he is in his second term as the congressman of the fourth district of Leyte. He was the mayor of Ormoc, Leyte, from 2016 to 2022.
According to him, it felt incredibly good to be back doing his craft. He admitted that he missed many things about show business, and even a simple interview with the media made him emotional.
He also agreed that it was because of his background in show business that gave him an advantage when he crossed over to politics. He said, “Naging politician lang ako dahil sa pag-aartista ko.”
The last movie Gomez did was Three Words To Forever, which was in 2018 with Sharon Cuneta and Kathryn Bernardo. This was seven years ago, and it took a while for him to return because of his responsibilities as a public servant.
He admitted that he initially found it hard to memorize his lines for the film Salvageland. It has been so long since he did acting, and it took him a while to get a grasp of it again. He shared, “So, yung first two days ko, parang hirap na hirap akong mag-memorize. Until nakuha ko uli yung routines.”
