Jona shared this dark past she encountered
Fearless Diva Jona, Jonalyn Viray, in real life, revealed that she was molested by her own father.
The singer rose to fame as the winner of Pinoy Pop Superstar when she was just 15 years old. From that, she has done many shows and concerts not just in the Philippines, but also abroad.
In a recent interview on Toni Talks, the YouTube talk show of Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga, the Fearless Diva, bravely opened up about the tragic past she went through.

FOR the first time, Jona has revealed that she was molested by her own father when she was just 10 years old. The singer tearfully shared the abuse she experienced from the person who was supposed to protect her.
According to the singer, she did not tell her family and friends about the painful and bitter events in her life.
She shared that her childhood started happily because apart from having a complete family, she also felt the love of his parents as siblings.
However, this started when she turned 10 because his parents were constantly fighting until his mother left home. She recalled that her mother entered her room before leaving. She hugged her super tight and said, “I love you so much.”
The singer was told that she would be the one to take care of her siblings. Upon recalling this memory and the abuse she received from her father, tears welled up in her eyes
“Ngayon ko na-realize kung bakit ako tinawag na Fearless Diva. Kasi natutunan kong tumayo at harapin ang mga sakit ng nakaraan. Hindi ko na kailangang itago. Isa itong bahagi ng kung sino ako ngayon. Noong bata ako, at 10 years old, naging biktima rin ako ng molestiya… from my father,” she emotionally recalled.

At that time, she didn’t know how to react because she didn’t know about things like that. She recalled that the abuse happened during the day. Her father entered her room, and a horrific thing happened. What transpired just made her body freeze.
Jona did not know whether to shout or not, and even after what happened, she and her father were still together, as if nothing had happened. No one knew about this until she met her now manager, who became like a second mother to her.
The singer opened up to her manager. When asked what she learned from her experience, Jona said that she somehow took herself for granted.
“Kasi yun pala yung na-take away sa yo nu’ng bata ka. So, may mga time na nu’ng teenager ako naliligaw ng landas nang konti, kasi ng naghahanap ako ng validation from other people na dapat sa bahay pa lang du’n na ibinibigay sa yo yung security and safety. Yun ang hinahanap ko,” Jona said. However, she said that she is still willing to forgive her father after what happened.
