Kris Bernal admitted that Heart Evangelista is her idol
Kapuso actress Kris Bernal had this reaction to being called “Heart Evangelista copycat.”
Kris rose to fame after winning the Kapuso talent search StarStruck in 2007. That was the fourth season of the show. From that, she was given TV and movie projects.
In recent years, Kris also ventured into businesses with her husband, Perry Choi. The actress would share glimpses of her life behind the camera on her social media page.
According to what netizens would say, some would accuse her of copying Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista, who is also known as a global fashion icon. The wife of Senator Chiz Escudero is known for having luxury items that not many Filipino celebrities could afford.
In a recent interview on LOL’s Your Honor, Kris Bernal was asked to react to the accusation that she is copying the Senator’s wife.
The StarStruck alumna said that she did not know why people called her “feeling Heart Evangelista.” She said that if she is like this, then she should have the Bvlgari collection that Heart has and her Hermes Birkin bag collection.
Kris also said that she did not know why people called it “panggagaya” when she also wanted to own luxury items. Host Chariz Solomon shared that this was also the comment between Marian Rivera and Nadine Samonte, who both had their Pop Mart collections. She said that people would speculate that one was copying the other.
Then, Kris admitted that Heart is indeed her idol, and Chariz said that she also idolizes the fashion icon.
When asked about seeing people owning luxury items, Kris Bernal shared that this would make her think about what she could do more to own them. “Naiinspire ako na parang kailangan ko pang magtrabaho or parang gusto ko pang mag-open ng business ah, para mabili ko yan, yung ganun,” the Kapuso actress said.
