The official trailer of ‘Meet, Greet, & Bye’ has been released in just a matter of hours, and it has gained millions of views across various social media platforms. Maricel Soriano, Belle Marian, Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, and Juan Karlos are the lead stars of the upcoming film directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana.
The story is about Mama Baby (played by the Diamond Star, whose cancer returned, but she refuses to receive treatment. The official trailer teases both tears and humor, a balance to the gravity of Mama Baby’s condition. Her refusal of treatment caused the tension to rise within their family, and conflicts buried have surfaced.
Previously, as the film’s official trailer was dropped, screenwriters Jumbo Albano and Patrick Valencia revealed that the inspiration behind it was the fear of loss and an enduring love.
As the lead stars watched the output, they were not able to hold their emotions, and drops of tears were seen in their faces. Soriano admitted she cried watching it. The trailer triggered her emotions and assured the public that they will never regret watching it.
Mariano, whose face was dampened because of her emotions, shared that they got too attached in the film and expressed how hopeful she is that the significant message of the film will impact those who watch it.
“It will give so much importance to people you love in your life,” she expressed.
Pascual, who was also teary-eyed, recalled how hard it was emotionally to do the film. He shared that while filming, they were often told to stop crying. For him, the film just hits close home, and it tackled a reality that everyone would eventually face.
Labajo expressed that the story was also way too close to what happened to him in real life based on the video.
