Statement of Malacañang on Impeachment Threat of Barzaga vs. Marcos Jr.
Malacañang reacted to the impeachment complaint that Cavite Representative Kiko Barzaga is allegedly set to file against President Bongbong Marcos.
Undeniably, the Philippine government is experiencing political turmoil brought by several issues in the country now. The controversial arrest and the transfer of custody of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands is one of those that caused the turmoil.

The once-solid BBM-Sara tandem was broken and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has decided to leave the cabinet of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Amid the issues, an impeachment complaint was filed against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte but the Senate voted to archive it after the Supreme Court ruled it as “unconstitutional”.
Recently, a supposed impeachment complaint gathered different reactions from the Filipino people. It was shown by Cavite Rep. Kiko Barzaga and the impeachment complaint is allegedly against Marcos Jr.

According to Rep. Barzaga who is a staunch critic of the Marcos Jr. administration now, the President allegedly betrayed public trust and violated the Constitution amid the flood control mess in the Philippines. Marcos Jr. exposed the flood control issue and ordered the creation of an independent body to investigate it.

Recently, Malacañang reacted to the impeachment complaint of Cavite Rep. Kiko Barzaga against Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro claimed that the President is not paying attention on such talk.

“Sa panahon ngayon na marami pong ginagawa po ang Pangulo, hindi po pinapansin ang mga ganyang klaseng usapin,” the Malacañang press official said.
Atty. Claire Castro also stressed that Marcos Jr. is busy helping the Filipino people to uplift the country. Based on the report, she also claimed that it is hard to comment on the allegations as there are supposedly no evidence.
“Busy ang Pangulo, sa pagtulong sa mga kababayan natin, maraming trabaho para maiangat pa ang Pilipinas, hindi para ibaba ang dignidad ng ating bansa. Mahirap po kasing magsalita ng walang ebidensiya, madaling magbintang, madaling magsabi kung anu-ano,” she said. “Kung walang ebidensiya hindi dapat paniwalaan,” the Malacañang press official said.
Countless Filipinos were left disappointed and angered by the flood control mess in the Philippines. Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos stressed that the resignation of the officials linked to the flood control issue is “not enough”.
We need to expel all the Government officials who were responsible for the major corruption that is now on going..!!!
