Karylle Asked If It’s Possible To Be Friends With Dingdong Dantes

Karylle answered comments about her and Dingdong Dantes

Singer-actress Karylle had this answer when asked if there’s a possibility that she and Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes.

K and Dingdong’s relationship ended in 2008. It was a controversial one because there was a third party issue. Back then, Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera was accused of being the third party.

For the longest time, the It’s Showtime host was not seen or photographed together with the DongYan couple.

Last June, Dingdong Dantes visited It’s Showtime with veteran actress Charo Santos to promote their movie Only We Know. Clips featuring this circulated online, and some netizens commented about Karylle and Dingdong’s encounter.

In a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the King of Talk asked the singer-actress if it was awkward when she and Dingdong met at the studio.

“Awkward ba? I did see a lot of clips, and I wouldn’t have put myself in a situation na hindi ako handa siguro,” she said.

K added that sometimes, people would judge that she does not want to interact, but sometimes, she is not just ready. “So why would you put yourself in a situation na baka may magawa kang hindi exactly maganda,” she said.

Even though she said that their encounter went okay but she was not ready. She was aware that people would comment that she was avoiding, but she was not. K said that it just so happened that she was working, but she said that it was a beautiful moment.

“You see, all is well, you know? I think with every public breakup, it’s a bit hard. Even my childhood was like that. I was six years old when that happened to me, and that was very public. You know, to just protect your sanity,” she explained.

Then, Boy Abunda asked the singer-actress if she is looking to be friends with Dingdong. “I don’t know if ‘friends’ is the word. I would imagine, being people in the same industry, we could support each other,” she said.

However, she stressed that the friendship is not possible. Currently, Karylle is happily married to Spongecola vocalist Yael Yuzon.
