Anjo Yllana shared his unsolicited advice for Maine Mendoza
Actor Anjo Yllana said that it is better for Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza not to talk anymore.
Maine is being dragged into the issue allegedly involving her husband, Quezon City First District Representative Arjo Atayde. The actor-politician is accused of receiving kickbacks from anomalous flood control projects.
Arjo denied the allegations against him. Maine defended her husband. Through a social media post, the Eat Bulaga host said that there is no truth to the allegations against her partner.
Following the accusations against Arjo Atayde, Maine Mendoza’s father was accused of being corrupt.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Anjo Yllana shared his advice for the Phenomenal Star. They were able to work together in the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga.
Anjo said that he does not know personally Maine’s husband because they haven’t met each other yet. “Yan, Maine, yung asawa mo, kaya naman galit yung tao, pati sa yo na, una, katulad nun, nagde-deny din kayo, nagde-deny yung asawa mo na hindi rin kilala yung mga contractors,” he said.
Then, Anjo stressed that there was “resibo” or pictures that surfaced online. He was referring to the photos of Arjo with contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya.
With this, Anjo said, “No talk, no mistake policy. Dapat quiet na lang muna siya.” He added that people started hating Maine even though it is her right to defend her husband.
Meanwhile, on September 20, a day before the protest against corruption, the official Facebook page of Congress Arjo Atayde released photos of his relief operation. The caption stated that it was on that day. However, a netizen pointed out that the relief operation happened on September 5, based on the Facebook posts shared by the barangay captains who became recipients of the relief operation.
