Maris Racal talked about her new project
Kapamilya actress Maris Racal shared her experience working with Kapamilya actor Coco Martin in the action-drama series Batang Quiapo.
Maris has come a long way since she started her showbiz career through the reality show Pinoy Big Brother. From that, she was given a chance to be part of various shows in ABS-CBN and some movies that boosted her career in the entertainment industry.
Maris is now one of the most popular Kapamilya stars. Even though she faced a big controversy with actor Anthony Jennings, she was able to bounce back and projects continue to pour in.

Among her most recent acting projects is the Kapamilya primetime series of Coco Martin. Maris Racal was recently announced as one of the newest additions to the series.
In an interview, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Maris admitted that she was nervous working with the lead star and the director of the teleserye, but she was somehow confident that she could pull out a good action scene because of her previous show.
“Actually noong day one ko, okay lang ako. Ngayon ako kinabahan kasi andiyan si Coco Martin. Meron na kaming extreme action scenes na shinoot dito. Buti na lang fresh pa ‘yung knowledge ko from my previous serye na ‘Incognito,’” the actress said.
In Batang Quiapo, Maris plays the character of a young policewoman who is guided by her principles, and she meets Tanggol, the character played by Coco Martin.
Other new additions to BQ were Baron Geisler and Aljur Abrenica, and it is still unknown if they would be on Tanggol’s side or would become his enemies.

About the new characters, Coco said, “Ito ‘yung pagpasok ng mga bagong cast. Magsasama-sama at maglalaban-laban. Siguradong mag-eenjoy at maliligayahan ang ating mga manonood.”
Aside from them, Roi Vinzon, Richard Quan, Perla Bautista, Via Antonio, Aleck Bovick, Criza Taa, Jeri Montano, Tita Jegs, and Ate Mrena will also join the cast of the Kapamilya series.
With Maris Racal’s entrance, the character of Kim Domingo, Madonna had to exit. Kim said that she was very happy to portray the role of Madonna in Batang Quiapo. Through this, her acting career was revived.
