One of the most famous and most well-loved stars in the Philippines is Anne Curtis. However, explaining how big of great a deal she is as a personality to her daughter’s tiny mind can be quite a challenge.
It raises delicate questions such as how much a child should be told about public attention, privacy, and the pressures that come with fame. There should be a balance between honesty with sensitivity, while making sure the explanation is age-appropriate.
Recently, as she reflected on her journey as a mother, she shared that she surely is someone who treasures every moment. She is a sentimental mother who creates memories with Dahlia to be treasured.
Dahlia is her firstborn with Erwan Heussaff. Dahlia turned five years old last March, and at the moment, her girl is being sassy, who, at the same time, is also bubbly, energetic, and kind. This is the part that she likes best in her journey as a mother – to see how her daughter transforms and blooms into who she really is.
When asked if Dahlia knows about her celebrity status, she shared that at first, her daughter didn’t know about it. As she becomes more curious about her surroundings, she found it funny why everyone would say hello, and early this year, when she brought her to It’s Showtime, it gave her an idea of what her job is.
Anne said, “I think in the beginning no, but recently, yes. She found it funny like why does everyone say hello? And then finally I brought her to Showtime for the first time. I think it was early this year, so that gave her an inkling of what I’m doing.”
