ABS-CBN actress Bela Padilla has just gotten out of a long-term relationship, and has this to say about the current status of her heart.
During the early week of August, Actress-director-screenwriter Bela Padilla revealed the split with her foreign boyfriend, Norman Ben Bay. The challenges of a long-distance relationship, along with her decision to remain in the Philippines and focus on her career full-time, were key factors that led to their split.
“Definitely one of the biggest factors was my moving back. Hindi rin kasi kami magkasama [noon.] Nasa London ako, nasa Switzerland siya. Nahirapan ako. LDR na shorter but still LDR,” she shared when she confirmed the split with Norman.’
She is open to the idea of dating again, but her primary focus continues to be her work and career. Following her split from her Swiss-Italian long-term partner, she admitted that while she isn’t closing the door on meeting someone new, her top priority for now remains her professional life.
When asked about the status of her heart, the “100 Awit Para Kay Stella” actress shared a humorous statement, saying it’s “pumping and thriving” just like a normal person. But went on and expressed, “I mean, I feel like I’m full of love. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the same way we’re all thinking of–– I’m sure we’re thinking the same thing.”
She feels like there’s nothing missing in her life right now. She’s doing a lot of stuff that she wants to do, and there’s even more stuff she wants to do. This is even one of the reasons why she came back. Her love and passion for her art fueled her, and she already knew back then that she was coming back to do it and be home fully.
And her art is what makes her still filled despite the lack in the romantic aspect of her life.
“I don’t want to commit to people here who take their jobs seriously and be here half-heartedly. When I do something, I have to do it 500%. Because they’re promising something to me, I want to promise something back too —and that’s my 100% attention,” she continued.
