Maine Mendoza had this revelation about Alden Richards
Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza admitted that she fell in love with Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards during the height of their AlDub loveteam.
A decade ago, the AlDub tandem reigned in the noontime slot. Maine and Alden’s onscreen partnership was accidental. Through Eat Bulaga‘s Sugod Bahay, the sub-segment Kalyeserye was created because of the obvious chemistry between the two stars.
Together, they did series, movies, and endorsement projects. They even had a sold-out Araneta show. With their undeniable chemistry onscreen, many fans anticipated that they would become a couple in real life.
Some fans even speculated that they were already married and had a child. For several times, Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards clarified that there was no truth to these rumors.
In a recent discussion that Maine had with her fellow Eat Bulaga hosts, she admitted that she fell in love with Alden back then. She was honest about this, and she even told her former loveteam partner about this.
“Ako, na inlove talaga ako kay Alden,” she said, adding that she would be vocal about whoever would ask her. However, the actress-host said that Alden did not court her. “Walang ganun,” she said.
Maine also said that Alden knew what she felt at that time for him. She said that if she’s vocal to other people, she was vocal to Alden as well. The Dabarkads also knew about this.
The actress-host shared that there was a time when she and Alden were on the rooftop and she asked him, “Ano ba ang nararamdaman mo for me?”
