The southwest monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

“Hot, humid weather is expected in Metro Manila and most parts of the country, but isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are also possible, especially in the afternoon and evening,” Villamil said.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility was spotted at 1,455 km east of Eastern Visayas. It has a slim chance of developing into a tropical depression.

The LPA may enter the country’s vicinity today and may bring rains over the eastern part of Southern Luzon and the Visayas.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition across the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.

No gale warning was raised over any parts of the country’s seaboard.
