What happens behind the camera is far from what people see on the surface. This is in terms of the lives of famous celebrities. Recently, in a new vlog from Vice Ganda, her latest collaboration with Kapuso stars Shuvee Etrata and Ashley Ortega was finally uploaded.
In the same vlog, the two Kapuso stars opened up about their lives and their friendship. The story touched many lives, and Shuvee was emotional recalling how Ashley helped her from the months she was just starting in show business until now.
According to Shuvee, the friendship with Ashley bloomed when they worked together in the series “Hearts On Ice.” Ortega was playing the lead character, while she, as someone who was just starting in the industry, landed a small role.
She had always looked up to Ashley, and getting to know her more deeply only deepened her admiration. Ashley was consistently kind and generous, often looking after her even while she was busy taking care of others.
Despite their different statuses in the industry, Ashley never treated her any differently. She saw her as an equal, and when they decided to live together, Ashley generously shared everything she had — from dresses and shoes to other personal belongings. She even buys her food as she knows that her earnings would always go straight first to her family.
To her, Ashley has always been the kind of friend whom she can always count on. The one who would teach her anything she knows, guide her in being a showbiz personality, point out the wrong in her, tell her what she lacks, and many other things, but never in a bad way. She has a friend who would always look out for her welfare.
“She made me a better person. Kinaya ko ang buhay dito sa Manila because of her. If it weren’t for her, baka bumalik na ako sa isla,” Shuvee said about Ashley in the video.
