Malabon Residents Turns Flooded Street Into Lively Dance Floor
A flooded street in Malabon has turned into a dance floor as the residents danced their hearts out despite knee-deep floodwaters.
Over the past few weeks, several tropical storms, low-pressure areas, and the enhanced southwest monsoon have battered the country with strong winds and heavy rains. These inclement weather conditions have affected many residents.
The weather disturbances caused massive flooding in various parts of the country. The floods displaced numerous residents, prompting several local government units to declare class and work suspensions to ensure the safety of both students and employees.

Recently, Paulo Mer, a Facebook user, shared a video of several residents dancing and laughing along the flood street in Barangay Catmon, Malabon City. The locals turned the gloomy weather into a lively street party. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
On Tuesday (July 22, 2025) around 5:30 p.m., residents gathered in the middle of a flooded street and danced their hearts out. According to uploader Paulo Mer, about ten adults and ten children joined in the spontaneous celebration.
The group grooved to the beat of “Six Two Eight (628)” by the band Europe. In the caption, he joked that while others get upset when it floods, in their area, it’s just a normal day and even a chance to party.
While some netizens expressed concern about the health risks of wading in floodwater, especially with open wounds, many still admired the group’s energy and ability to find happiness in tough situations.
The video has a caption:
“Others are sad when it’s flooded… Here in our place, it’s just basic PARTY PA”
