PAGASA said Monday that 2 LPAs in the Philippines may become tropical depressions.
2 LPAS IN PHILIPPINES – According to PAGASA, there are two low pressure areas (LPAs) being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has reported that there are two low pressure areas (LPAs) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. The weather state bureau has shared that these two have a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

At 3 PM on July 21, an LPA was spotted based on all available data, at 1,220 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon, while another LPA was spotted 405 kilometers east of Calayan, Cagayan.
The trough of the LPA will affect the weather conditions of Cagayan Valley, and the southwest monsoon will bring rain to several parts of the country. The affected areas are Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Occidental Mindoro.
Due to the continuous rains brought by the Habagat, the Marikina River has breached the second alarm level. Several areas in Metro Manila were also flooded, resulting in some roads being impassable.
Meanwhile, in a recent update, PAGASA also warned about heavy rain due to the southwest monsoon.
