Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin are ready to take a new chapter in their careers
Kapamilya stars Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, known as the FranSeth loveteam, talked about portraying mature characters.
Francine and Seth are among the most popular tandems of their generation. As FranSeth, they have already done several projects that boosted their careers as a loveteam and individually.
They are now part of the upcoming series Sins of the Father. For them, their roles in this project are their transition from teen roles to more mature characters, based on the article in the Inquirer.
This project is a crime thriller. Francine Diaz plays the character of Arissa who is hinted to be an illegitimate child of Mike Trinidad, portrayed by award-winning actor John Arcilla.
Seth Fedelin’s character is Enzo, whose story is yet to be revealed. During the mediacon, Francine shared her thoughts on their roles.
“In this series, we consider it as a transition into serious roles. This is different from our past roles that are sweet and more of issues involving teenagers. Our scenes are more challenging here,” the actress shared.
She also shared that one of the challenges she had in this project was how her character would deal with difficulties as a “woman” who needs to take responsibility for her actions. Francine said that Arissa no longer has the mindset of a child, and even though she would commit mistakes, she resolves them in a mature way.
The actress also shared that she and Seth tend to be competitive with each other on set, especially in delivering their dialogues and showing their best performance.
Giving a glimpse of her working relationship with Fedelin, Diaz said they have the tendency to “be competitive” with each other on set, especially when it comes to delivering their lines and giving their best performances.
Seth agreed with this. He pointed out that it is good for them to have that healthy competition with each other. For him, this is helpful to make sure that they deliver the best performance.”
“Nakakatulong na minsan, pinaguusapan namin ang bawat eksena, minsan may point kami na may gulatan sa bawat linya or emosyon. Para sa’min, ‘yun ang healthy,” the actor explained.
