Oil Price Hike to Take Effect on Second Week of June 2025

Gas Stations to Impose Oil Price Hike Starting June 10, 2025

FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Various gasoline stations in the country are set to implement an oil price hike in the second week of June.

Several oil companies advised Filipino motorists to brace for higher fuel prices starting Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Huge petroleum companies have confirmed the adjustment, which affects gasoline, diesel, and kerosene.

Effective Tuesday morning, most oil companies, including Shell, Caltex, Seaoil, and Petro Gazz will implement the new rates at 6:00 a.m. Cleanfuel, which does not sell kerosene, will impose the same changes at 4:01 p.m.

Oil Price Hike

Here are the projected fuel prices:

  • Gasoline will increase by P0.60 per liter
  • Diesel will rise by P0.95 per liter
  • Kerosene will go up by P0.30 per liter

Last week, gasoline and diesel prices already climbed slightly, while kerosene prices dipped. The consecutive upward trend is linked to several global issues affecting oil supply and demand.

Oil Price Hike

According to the Department of Energy, the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, along with tensions involving the U.S. and Iran, is contributing to the rise in fuel prices.

Wildfires in Canada are also affecting oil production, and a significant drop in U.S. crude oil stockpiles is adding to the supply concerns.

Warmer weather reportedly causes fuel consumption to increase during summer months due to more travel and energy use. The timing of the price hike is also notable, as it comes just ahead of the Independence Day holiday on June 12, when many people may be planning trips.
