Kapamilya host Luis Manzano is the recent subject of death hoax on social media and this was his answer to this.

Social media can do a lot for a celebrity nowadays. It can be easier for them to reach out to their fans and promote their projects whether it is a TV show, a movie, or an endorsement.

However, through social media, some people would also spread fake news, misinformation, and negative things against a person or a group.

One negative thing that could circulate online is the death hoax. There have been celebrities who became the subjects of this. Luis Manzano had a fair share of this fake news just recently.

Several death hoax posts circulated on Facebook. These posts included edited photos of him, his family, and his friends in the entertainment industry. Here are some posts from different Facebook pages.

In his Facebook post on May 29, Luis debunked the death hoax with his usual humor. “Update po, buhay na buhay po ako. Napakagwapo pa nga – Luis,” the Kapamilya host said.

In the comment section of his post, Luis Manzano received support from his fellow celebrity Bayani Agbayani and his fans. “Yasss! Love you kuya luuuu,” Bayani wrote. Some netizens said that he should file a complaint against these content creators spreading fake news.

Meanwhile, Luis is apparently set to return to hosting a Kapamilya show after his unsuccessful stint in politics. The host ran for vice governor of Batangas and as the running mate of his mom Star For All Season Vilma Santos who won as governor.

After losing, Luis shared a post asking his fans what game show they want to return on air, whether it is Rainbow Rumble, Deal or No Deal, or Minute To Win It.
