Lady Netizen Gets Emotional Over Sautéed Century Tuna
A lady netizen was moved to tears after her boyfriend, who doesn’t know how to cook, prepared sautéed Century Tuna for her to take with her.
Recently, LatterHuckleberry388, a Reddit user, opened up about getting emotional over a sautéed Century Tuna her boyfriend prepared. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
In her post, the woman shared that she and her boyfriend live together and both have full-time jobs. She works onsite while her boyfriend works from home, where he also takes care of their energetic dogs.

Despite his busy routine, he always tries to support her in small but meaningful ways. One tiring evening, she came home to find that everything she needed for the gym such as clothes, bag, and tumbler was already set up.
The guy had even bought what she needed for work the next day. When she woke up the next morning, she had to take a Grab to work due to coding restrictions, but what truly touched her was seeing her lunch already packed.
Inside the lunchbox was sautéed Century Tuna cooked by her boyfriend, who admits he doesn’t really know how to cook. It wasn’t just about the food, but about the care and love behind it.

The lady netizen admitted that the moment made her tear up. In a world where both of them are constantly tired and busy, she felt grateful to have someone who, in his own way, makes life a little easier and a lot more comforting.

“Naiyak ako sa Century Tuna
I live with my boyfriend; dual income kami. I work in an onsite set-up (3 weeks pa lang), while he works from home. Given that he has to attend to our lovable and pasaway dogs all day.
Last night, I was so exhausted when I came home. My boyfriend made sure that my gym clothes were ready, including my tumbler and my gym bag, so I could just go to the gym after I rested for a bit. Nung umakyat ako, naka-prepare na ang dinner namin at na-buy na lahat ng needs ko from Lawson in prep sa pagpasok ko kinabukasan.
When I woke up earlier, coding kasi kami, so I had to take a Grab going to the office. Take note: everyday niya akong hinahatid kahit may 8 a.m. din siyang shift. But what brought me to tears was my lunch box, may laman nang ginisang Century Tuna na niluto ng boyfriend kong hindi marunong magluto. 🥲 Iinit ko na lang.
Lord, I know na hindi lang naman ako ang pagod, but I’m grateful that I was able to find someone who will just do his best so I can always find comfort and always feel at home.”
