Transgender Passenger Who Was Not Offered Seat by Man on the Bus Rants on Social Media
A transgender passenger went on a rant on social media after claiming that a male passenger did not offer her a seat while they were on the bus.
Recently, Pixie Valmadrid, a Facebook user, shared her frustration after a man allegedly refused to offer her a seat on a public bus. The post quickly circulated online and elicited comments from netizens.
According to Pixie, she had been standing next to the seated man for quite some time, hoping he would give up his seat for her, especially since she identifies as a woman. She mentioned feeling disappointed, pointing out how, in her view, acts of kindness and respect seem to be fading away.
“Shout out kay kuya na pinatunayang wala na talagang gentleman sa mundo. kanina pa ko nakatayo sa gilid nya pero patay malisya lang sya. ano ba naman yung paupuin nya ako since malayo pa byahe ko and babae naman ako di ba? ewan ko pero nakakadisappoint na talaga ang mga lalaki ngayon hahaha. ako lang ba?” she wrote.
While some people agreed with her sentiments, many criticized her for expecting special treatment. Others pointed out that offering a seat shouldn’t be based solely on gender, especially if everyone is equally paying for the ride.
After receiving online criticisms, Pixie posted a follow-up message to apologize. She admitted that her initial post might have been poorly worded and could have hurt or offended others.

Pixie later posted again, saying her first message was part of a social experiment. She claimed that the man in the photo was actually someone close to her and joked about the situation, saying he didn’t offer a seat because he was jealous of her outfit.
