Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero stressed that there is no “color” when the election is successful. Based on a report on PhilStar, a successful election shows that regardless of the differences and fights, we can still hold a peaceful election.

Based on the report, the Senate President stressed that it should not be that an opposition keeps on saying “no” even when the proposal of the government is right. On the other side, he also emphasized that the administration should not just keep on saying “yes” even if what the government is doing is wrong.

Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero also reacted to the claim of Malacañang that the Marcos administration expects “legitimate oppositionists” but will fight “obstructionists”. He stressed that the government should find a common ground regardless of who emerged as winners in the election.

“Regardless of those labels of being oppositionist or obstructionist. I think we can find and we should find common ground in spite and despite the results of this election,” he said.

Amid the counting of votes, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte expressed her disappointment over the 2025 Election results.
