Cassy Legaspi talked about her mom Carmina Villarroel
Sparkle artist Cassy Legaspi shared her thoughts on the similarities and differences between her and her mother actress-host Carmina Villarroel.
Cassy is creating her own path in the entertainment industry, as well as her twin brother Mavy Legaspi. They started late in the entertainment industry, even though they had endorsement projects when they were younger.
Both of them signed under GMA when they were 17 years old. From that, they did several acting and hosting projects.
In a recent interview with ABS-CBN Entertainment, Cassy Legaspi was asked to react to comments that she really looks like her mother. She said that she considers this as a compliment because she looks up to her mom.
“Although I do want to step out into my own journey and my own career path, I don’t think it should be taken as insulting eh. Parang I can be similar to my mom but I can also be my own version of myself. Parang ganun,” she explained.
Cassy also shared that aside from acting, she also wants to follow in her mom’s footsteps when it comes to hosting. When asked what is something about her mom that most people do not know about.
The Sparkle star said that her mom and her brother have this in common, they both love to clean. “As in, araw-araw siya naglilinis sa bahay. As in, kahit repetitive, she’s always cleaning and cleaning kasi yun daw yung therapy niya,” Cassy shared.
She added that sometimes her mom does this excessively to the point that Carmina is being OC (obsessive-compulsive) already.
“Actually, pareho sila ni Mavy. Parehas silang OC. May parang routine sila na tuwing umaga, pag breakfast, when they go down the stairs, nag-aayos pa sila ng mga picture frame tapos mag-wa-wipe ng table tapos kakain ng breakfast. Everyday po yun,” Cassy revealed.
This is something she did not inherit from her mother. They are different from this kind of aspect. For Cassy Legaspi, she is just “sakto lang.” She does not want a chaotic surrounding and wants everything clean but not to the point of being OC.
