Sara Duterte: “Nagising ako na-impeach na ako”

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks on Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s Request

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte called to remind her not to forget him.

After finalizing the legal team of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte for his legal battle in the International Criminal Court, Vice Pres. Duterte is now back in the Philippines. She appeared in several campaign sorties and public events since her arrival in the country.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorses Senator Imee Marcos as well as Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar and the PDP-Laban bets. Previously, she revealed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte has really called her to fervently campaign for the #Duter10.

Aside from Vice Pres. Duterte, the former President’s other children, Kitty Duterte, and Davao City First District Congressman Paolo Duterte, also committed to campaign for the PDP Laban candidates. The Congressman is currently in The Hague but he vowed to return to the country soon to help in the campaign.

Aside from campaigning for her senatorial bets, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also met with her lawyers who she said as “more than confident” to win the impeachment trial. According to her, she is most confident on the lawyers that will defend her in the impeachment trial.

Recently, Vice Pres. Duterte joined the campaign event of Manila mayoralty candidate Isko Moreno. He was a former Manila Mayor who ran for president in 2022 but lost to now Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

At the campaign event, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has called her. Based on a post on social media, the Vice President said her father reminded her not to forget about him.

“Alam niyo ho, kawawa siya kasi nung tumawag siya kinwento niya sa akin bakit kailangan diretso sampo ‘yung mga senador. Sinabi niya sa akin… ‘Huwag mo akong kalimutan dito, baka makalimutan mo ako, mabubulok ako dito.’ Ngayon pati ako Mam nagising. Nagising ako na-impeach na ako,” she expressed.

Aside from campaigning for the #Duter10, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte called on the public not to vote for Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ candidates.
