According to Alynna, she could not go to the wake of Hajji Alejandro because of this reason.
HAJJI ALEJANDRO WAKE – The partner of the late OPM legend, Alynna, is ‘unable to go to wake,’ and this is the reason behind this.
After two months of battling colon cancer, OPM icon Hajji Alejandro passed away. During his final moments, he chose palliative care to spend his remaining days with his family. Alejandro died on Monday, April 21. He was 70.
As much as we all know, he was the “Kilabot ng mga Kolehiyala” during his peak and was known for his songs “May Minamahal,” “Nakapagtataka,” “Panakip Butas,”“Tag-araw, Tag-Ulan,” and “Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika.”
His partner for 27 years, Alynna Velasquez, took time to honor the late OPM legend on social media. According to her, he spent his final hours accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He fought and tried to hold on, but his body was already giving up.
“See you in God’s time. I love you eternally,” she said. Amid the grieving, Alynna was accordingly not able to go to his wake. She visited his star at the Eastwood City Walk of Fame instead and was emotional during this moment.
“I was unable to go to your wake for reasons I don’t have control of,” Velasquez shared and added, “But I am glad I am here to pray for you and watch your star shine!”
She brought a bouquet of flowers and a handwritten “Happy Anniversary” note. His star was surrounded by candles and a portrait of Alejandro, which she kissed tenderly during his visit.
In a previous article, a friction occurred between her and his family that prompted her to leave their home. The Alejandro family blamed her for publicly sharing Alejandro’s condition in March.
