Ka Leody de Guzman Lambasted Sen. Robin Padilla Who Got Emotional during Senate Hearing, Netizens React
ROBIN PADILLA – Several netizens reacted after the Senator went emotional during the Senate probe over the arrest of former Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
The unexpected arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte who is now detained in The Hague, Netherlands has undeniably divided the Filipino nation. There are those who support the arrest of the former President in the pursuit of seeking justice for the alleged victims of his drug war while he also has supporters who are deeply against what happened.
Several political allies of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte also reacted against the transfer of his custody to the International Criminal Court. Sen. Robin Padilla was one of those who was quick to get to The Hague following the arrest of the former President.
At The Hague, Sen. Robin Padilla requested to visit former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. According to him, he wants to talk to the former President who is the chairman of their party, the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino. The action star-turned-senator is the president of the said party.
However, it is not clear if Padilla was granted by the ICC the permission to visit Duterte at the Hague Penitentiary Institution. The Senator is now back in the Philippines and has even attended the Senate inquiry led by Sen. Imee Marcos over Duterte’s arrest.

Ka Leody de Guzman is a social labor rights activities who ran for president in 2022 but lost to Pres. Bongbong Marcos. In his Facebook post, Ka Leody lambasted the Senator emphasizing that the Filipinos allegedly spent a lot on the “pointless” Senate hearing led by Sen. Imee Marcos.
