Senate President Chiz Escudero says the Senate is ready to do this for the senator.
According to Senate President Chiz Escudero, the Senate is ready to multiply Senator Ronald dela Rosa’s security detail.
There are several ways Senator Bato Dela Rosa is now considering to evade the possible arrest from the International Criminal Court. Former president Rodrigo Duterte is in the ICC, and there’s a possibility that he is the next to be arrested, as he was the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief during his time as the president and during the time of his war on drugs.

He was considering hiding and even disguising himself to avoid the arrest, and even claimed that police personnel assigned to him had been pulled out. He also asked for the Senate’s protection in case the arrest happens.
Regarding the matter about his security detail being pulled out, Senate President Francis Escudero says the Senate is willing to help augment his security. Accordingly, the senators can ask for more security through the Office of the Sergeant at Arms.
They can request it based on the level of threat, and the Police Security and Protection Group or the Philippine National Police can evaluate this. The senate president also added that the claims of the senator about these security personnel who were pulled out were not assigned to him officially.
“Sa kaso ni Sen. Bato, I think yung binabanggit niyang dalawang security na naka-assign sa kanya sa Davao ay accommodation lamang. Hindi talaga naka-assign sa kanya. Iba pa yung security niya dito sa Manila,” Escudero said.
He added that OSAA has around 80 personnel and would deputize more depending on the needs of the senator.
Meanwhile, the Palace is seeking details about Dela Rosa’s whereabouts, as police security detail may be stripped off to protect him because he was missing in action. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said that the security would not be an issue if he resurfaces.
