Security Guard Assaults 2 Men Stealing Items Inside Their Shop
A security guard at a grocery store in Bacolod City couldn’t hold back his anger after catching two men in the act inside their shop.
The incident took place at a grocery store in Libertad Public Market, Bacolod City.. The security guard was seen striking the suspects, claiming they had stolen items from the store, and he had evidence to prove it.
In the CCTV footage, the two men appeared to be regular customers. One of them, dressed in black, opened his bag while cautiously looking around. He then took some items from the shelf and placed them inside his bag while his companion in red acted as a lookout. The item they attempted to steal was a pack of coffee.
According to store manager Ian Arañas, the man in black had been caught on CCTV multiple times stealing from the store. This wasn’t their first time, they had been returning and using the same method each time.
However, this time, the security guard stopped them before they could get away.
“ang naka-black, ilang beses na siyang nakuhanan ng CCTV na kumukuha sila dito sa area,” Ian Arañas said.
The suspects were taken to the police station, where authorities confirmed that they had previous theft cases. However, since no formal complaints were filed against them before, they kept returning to their illegal activities.
“Itong dalawa is may previous na kaso ng pagnanakaw. Dinadala lang sa station, ipa-blotter lang, tapos hindi naman nila sasampahan so bumabalik lang sila sa gawain” Police Station 6 CPT. Rosalino Pugoy Jr said.

The store owner is now determined to press charges against the suspects. Meanwhile, the police stated that while theft is a crime, the security guard’s violent response was also inappropriate. Because of this, he may also face legal consequences.
