Senior Citizen Appeals for Return of Lost Wallet Containing Over P7,000 for Husband’s Medication
A senior citizen is seeking help after losing a wallet containing more than P7,000 intended for her husband’s medication.
A senior citizen in Puerto Princesa City is appealing for help after losing a wallet containing more than P7,000, money intended for the medication, food, and hospital expenses of her bedridden husband.
On Tuesday (August 11, 2026), Sonia Socrates Factor, a resident of Barangay San Pedro, shared her concern after losing a wallet containing more than P7,000, money intended for the medication, food, and hospital expenses of her bedridden husband.
According to Factor, she hired a tricycle to take her from Barangay San Pedro to the Old Public Market. Before reaching the market, they also passed through a gasoline station along Malvar Street. She recalled that she was still holding her wallet during the trip and even used it to pay the tricycle fare.
After handing over her payment, she placed the wallet inside her bag and continued her journey. However, when she got off the tricycle and checked her belongings, she was shocked to discover that the wallet was already missing.
The wallet reportedly contained more than P7,000 in cash. For many people, losing such an amount would already be difficult, but for Factor, the situation is even more painful because the money had been set aside for her husband’s daily needs. Her husband is bedridden and depends on regular medication and care.
Factor explained that part of the money was intended to buy medicines, while the rest was meant for food and hospital-related expenses. Because of this, she is deeply worried about how they will manage their immediate needs if the money is not recovered.
Despite the loss, she clarified that she does not blame the tricycle driver for what happened. Instead, she is hoping that whoever may have found the wallet will choose to return it.
