Regarding the moves of the International Criminal Court, Sen. Bato dela Rosa has requested the Supreme Court to issue a Temporary Restraining Order or TRO to prevent the Philippine government from further cooperating with the ICC. He filed a 94-page petition before the high court.

Based on a report on Inquirer, the Supreme Court denied the request of Sen. Bato dela Rosa to block further cooperation between the Philippine government and the ICC. According to SC spokesperson Camille Ting, “the SC found that the petitioners failed to establish a clear and unmistakable right for the immediate issuance of a TRO”.
Based on the report, the Supreme Court has ordered the respondents of the petition for a comment within 10 days from notice. The high court denied the “immediate” release but a TRO is still possible depending on the court as per Ting.
According to Sen. Bato dela Rosa, he is ready to join former Pres. Duterte if all the legal remedies fail.
