PAGASA Says Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (March 11, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the country. It will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Aurora and Quezon.

Flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water conditions over the eastern section of Luzon. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.

Meanwhile, the weather agency has decided to get a new instrument within the year as temperatures rise in some parts of the country.
“The Pagasa modernization program continues, and we also continue to acquire infrastructure and the latest technologies. One of these is with regards to our heat index because we can see that it is a bit subjective,” PAGASA state weather bureau’s Climate Monitoring and Prediction Section chief Ana Liza Solis said.
The weather bureau aims to acquire a wet bulb temperature meter to measure possible human discomfort felt under certain temperatures.
“For now we have not yet predicted the possibility of the maximum daytime temperature reaching 40ºC, but [with] the heat index of 52ºC last year, there is a possibility that it will reoccur this year. But it will only be short, and will not be widespread,” she added.
