Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks about being Allegedly Scammed
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President believes she was scammed during the 2022 Elections and she does not want the public to blame her again over the candidates she endorse.
The BBM-Sara was a victorious tandem in the 2022 Elections. They campaigned in the platform of unity. The supporters of the Marcoses and the Dutertes united and most of the winning senators also came from the BBM-Sara team. However, in 2024, the deep ties between the Marcoses and the Dutertes has seemingly been broken.
Countless Filipinos were surprised when Duterte left the helm of the Department of Education (DepEd) as well as the cabinet of Marcos Jr. According to the Vice President, her decision includes both work and personal reasons.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte previously said she sees point of no return on her relationship with Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The Vice President previously said she was on a mistaken belief on the platform of unity and continuity when she talked to the members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte joined the thanksgiving event of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ members in Hong Kong. It was supposedly a leg of the campaign rallies of the PDP-Laban bets but the authorities abroad told them not to campaign in a public assembly.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte was also present at the thanksgiving event in Hong Kong. Duterte even spoke his side on the rumors that the ICC issued an arrest warrant against him.
At the Thanksgiving event, Vice Pres. Duterte advised the voters to not base their votes in the surname of the candidate but to look into the track record. She stressed that the voters should scrutinize the candidates based on their accomplishments and platforms as well as the promises they made in the past.
Based on a report on GMA News, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that she was allegedly scammed during the 2022 Elections. According to her, she won’t endorse a candidate as she might be blamed after the election if the candidate put to office fails to perform.
“Akala ko kasi mas gusto niya ng mas magandang bayan kasi ang plataporma namin nung tumakbo kami unity at continuity. Nadala na ako, na scam na ako, nabudol na ako. Hindi ako mag endorso ng kandidato kasi baka pagkatapos ng election, sasabihin ninyo nanaman, na scam kami ni Inday Sara,” the Vice President said.
Based on the report, Vice Pres. Duterte told the voters to really think about who they will vote in the upcoming election and be more discerning. She also advised the voters to be wary of vote buying allegedly dressed as government assistance.
According to Vice Pres. Duterte, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy said she should be the next president so the sufferings of the Filipinos will end. She claimed that there are people who blame her for stepping aside during the 2022 presidential elections.
