Herlene’s popularity brought a lot of good opportunities for her in the entertainment industry. From being a game show host, she was given acting projects and eventually ventured into the world of beauty pageants.
Her life and success are an inspiration to many of her fans. She is loved by many for her realness, her comedic side, and her love for her family.
However, Herlene Budol is aware of the negative comments that people would throw at her. Previously, the Kapuso actress shared her reaction to the “b0bo” comment she would receive.
She admitted that she was hurt by this kind of comment. In a recent interview, based on the article in Balita, Herlene was asked about the “jolog” comments against her.
“Okay lang, totoo naman ho, e. Totoo namang jologs ako. Gano’n ako lumaki; kung paano ako magsalita,” the Kapuso actress said.
“Jologs” is a slang Filipino term which is used to describe someone who is unrefined or out of fashion.
Herlene stressed that she is trying her best to improve and be better. “Sinusubukan ko naman din talagang baguhin po ‘yong kung paano ako magsalita. Pero parang nagpapanggap po kasi ako ‘pag binago ko, e.” she said.
With this, Herlene Budol said that it is better for people to know and see who she is whether on television or in person.
Meanwhile, Herlene Budol had a fiery statement on her former onscreen partner Kapuso actor Rob Gomez. She said that Rob should have been man enough to face the controversy he was involved in. Herlene was dragged into this issue because of their leaked private conversation which garnered accusations that they cheated on Rob’s former partner Shaila Rebortera. The actress-beauty queen also said that she does not want to work with Rob for now.
