Herlene Budol has this fiery statement about her former leading man
Kapuso actor Herlene Budol said that actor Rob Gomez should have been man enough to speak about the controversy that involved them.
In 2023, Herlene and Rob were entangled in a controversy when their private conversations were exposed online. The actor said that his account was hacked.
Aside from Herlene, Rob’s private conversation with actress Bianca Manalo was also exposed. The actor was criticized and accused of cheating as he was still with his ex-partner Shaila Rebortera at that time.
In a previous report, Herlene admitted that she sought psychiatric help because of the controversy. At that time, she was even tagged as “kabit”.
Over a year after that controversy happened, Herlene Budol was asked in an interview, based on the article in PEP, about the issues being thrown at her.
She said that it is somehow advantageous for her that people are paying her attention even though she is not seeking it. For her, it meant that these people wanted to get involved in her life.
When asked if she was worried that her career would be over because of that controversy, Herlene said that she was not afraid because she knew the truth. Her worry was that the person who should have defended her did not do anything.
She also said that no one spoke about the issue that involved several people. “Kung sino yung taong involved dito. Siya yan yung tinutukoy ko kasi alam naman niya kung… alam naming lahat kung ano yung totoo,” she said.
Although Herlene did not mention any name, it appeared that she was referring to Rob. “So, parang feeling ko, ginusto rin niya yung nangyari. Pero dapat nagsalita na lang siya—mas tinanggap ko yon—nagpakalalaki siya,” she stressed.
When asked if she did not ask Rob to speak about the issue, she said that he should have voluntarily defended the women who were entangled in the issue.
