The hosts of the new season of PGT are Robi Domingo and Melai Cantiveros.
ABS-CBN introduced Robi Domingo and Melai Cantiveros as the new hosts of the upcoming “Pilipinas Got Talent” Season 7.
The seventh season of ABS-CBN’s popular talent reality show Pilipinas Got Talent or PGT is coming soon. The reality competition is set to discover new talents again and it was last year when the comeback was announced.
The show first aired in 2010 and as of this writing, it already had six grand winners.
The winners from the previous seasons are:
- Jovit Baldivino (Season 1)
- Marcelito Pomoy (Season 2)
- Maasinhon Trio (Season 3)
- Roel Manlangit (Season 4)
- Power Duo (Season 5)
- Kristel de Catalina (Season 6)
Recently, the new set of hosts were introduced and they are Robi Domingo and Melai Cantiveros. The past hosts are Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford and for Domingo, it is a privilege as this is one of the iconic shows of ABS-CBN originally hosted by the famous Luis-Billy tandem.
“When they asked me to do it, no questions asked, I said yes. At nung tinanong kung sino ang makakasama, unfortunately…,” Domingo said with a joke at the end of his sentence directed to Melai.
As for Melai, she expressed, “Noong tinawagan ako, parang hindi pa na-reach kasi check operator services. Sabi ‘PGT,’ wag kang maniwala, ‘PGT’ ibigay sa akin, eh pwede pa ko sa mga pang-barangay na show. Then suddenly,.. it’s magic, ayon na nga, ‘PGT’ na daw. I feel like I don’t deserve this!”
Their rapport as hosts was developed in “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) and Domingo is at ease as he was partnered with the person he was always having banters with. Melai also believed it was Robi who suggested to have her in the show and she promised to do her best.
The new set of judges will be introduced soon.
Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, Robin Padilla, and Freddie “FMG” M. Garcia were the judges but originally, Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and former ABS-CBN general manager Freddie M. Garcia were on these seats. The original judges lasted until the fourth season of the show which was in 2013.
