Recently, the Facebook page “Philippine Old Photos Collection” shared the post of a netizen named Wilfrid Monzon who posted a nostalgic photo of himself with the king of pop. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the photo, Monzon is seen standing beside a smiling Michael Jackson. The image, taken in 1976, shows a rare and heartwarming moment between Monzon and the King of Pop during Jackson’s early years with the Jackson 5.
Monzon shared that the photo was taken at the Pagsanjan Rapid Hotel in Laguna during the Jackson 5’s tour in the Philippines. At that time, they were in the country for a Valentine’s Day concert held at the Araneta Coliseum.
As part of their trip, the group toured Pagsanjan Falls, where Monzon had the chance to join them.
Monzon revealed that he worked as a creative director for Vicor Music Corporation back then, which allowed him to meet and spend time with the famous group. This special memory has since become a cherished part of his life.
