President Bongbong Marcos Claps Back To PRRD’s Remark About Eliminating Senators

PRRD’s remark earned a reaction from President Bongbong Marcos.

Former president Rodrigo Duterte expressed a threat of killing 15 senators to ensure victory and President Bongbong Marcos has this reaction.

“Now that there are many of them (aiming for the Senate). What should we do? Why don’t we just kill the senators now so we can vacate their seats? If we can kill about 15 senators, we’ll all get in.”

This is what former president Rodrigo Duterte expressed during the PDP-Laban proclamation rally at Club Filipino in San Juan City. It was a joke from him but current president Bongbong Marcos did not take such a joke lightly.

Duterte’s pick for senators under the PDP-Laban are reelectionist senators Ronald dela Rosa and Bong Go, accused offender and his former spiritual adviser Apollo Quiboloy, actor Phillip Salvador, singer Jimmy Bondoc, Vic Rodriguez, Jayvee Hinlo, Raul Lambino and Rodante Marcoleta

He made such a remark to make way for his preferred senators. Taking a swipe at the former president, PBBM expressed this during his speech at the Carmen Municipal Plaza.

In the said event, Marcos Jr. told his Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatoriables that other people resort to doing all sorts of things as they are either surprised or intimidated. PBBM added that perhaps, they have this helpless situation to consider killing other senators to make a seat for their beats.

“But you can also understand why. You would say: this campaign is going to be really difficult because our opponents (administration senatorial candidates) are formidable,” Marcos said.

The 12 Alyansa senatorial candidates are former Interior Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr., Makati City Mayor Abigail Binay, Sen. Pia Cayetano, former senator Panfilo Lacson, Sen. Lito Lapid, Sen. Imee Marcos, former senator Manny Pacquiao, Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., former Senate president Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Sen. Francis Tolentino, ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo and Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar.
