Singer-songwriter Rico Blanco and BINI Maloi sparked dating rumors previously and the latter has this explanation about the photo.
“New Year, New Love?”
This was the headline written on top of the intriguing photo of OPM singer-songwriter Rico Blanco and BINI Maloi. The photo of Maloi and Blanco was taken in La Union and a short video of the moment also circulated online. They were seen crossing the street and as little as this detail was enough to create a loud buzz online.
Immediately, the female artist dismissed the rumors. Maloi shut down the dating rumors and slammed the headline. She then expressed that it was all fake news. At that time, Maloi was with other OPM artists Ben&Ben’s Pat Lasaten and Agnes Reoma, singer-songwriter Ischi, Over October’s Joshua Caleb Lua, Blaster Silonga, Zild Benitez, and photographer Shaira Luna.
They were spotted in Motel Mambo, a boutique hotel owned by Blanco.
Recently, in an interview in “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda”, the BINI member explained the photo. She was initially asked about fake news and per her, fake news is always attached to public figures which is an indication of relevance.
“You just go with your life, just do what you do, just do what you love,” she said. But for her, it should be stopped. She then went on to say that the latest fake news she dealt with was the one that involved Blanco.
“Hindi ko alam paano nangyari ‘yun. Siguro may videos ‘yung Blooms na in-upload sa X and then na-crop siya, screenshot na parang bad angle, so it just shows na parang nag-holding hands, in-upload sa Facebook, kumalat hanggang sa nagkaroon na ng mga headlines,” she shared.
