PAGASA Says Amihan, Easterlies and Shear Line to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that rainy weather will prevail over most parts of the country.
On Friday (January 31, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Northeast monsoon, easterlies, and shear line will bring rainy weather in some parts of the country.
PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja reported that the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Northern and Central Luzon particularly in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon.
Flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas due to moderate to heavy rains.
Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, Rizal, Ilocos Region, and the rest of Central Luzon.
The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over the rest of the country. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon, and the eastern sections of Central Luzon and Visayas will be rough. The eastern section of Mindanao and the rest of Luzon will have moderate to rough.
The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
