Father in Rizal Suffers in Injuries After Being Stabbed by Own Son

Recently, a tragic incident happened in Barangay San Isidro, where the son admitted to the act, claiming it stemmed from his father’s physical abuse.

On Monday night (January 20, 2025), the police authorities arrested a 25-year-old suspect. According to a barangay official, they found the suspect in a dazed state, and he confessed to stabbing his father.
The victim suffered a stab wound on his left side but managed to seek help from neighbors despite his injuries. Authorities recovered the knife used in the attack. Initial investigations revealed that the father’s alleged mistreatment of his son led to the crime.
However, the victim’s relatives argued that the son lashed out due to frustration from an earlier confrontation with someone else and took his anger out on his father.
The family also mentioned that frequent arguments between the two may have added to the tension. Currently, the son is detained at the Antipolo Component City Police Station, while the father is recovering in a hospital.
