Comedienne-actress Aiai Delas Alas proves that her gut feelings about her ex-husband Gerald Sibayan are true and not just made up by her.
October 14, 2024, is the date comedienne-actress Aiai Delas Alas will never forget as this was the time when her husband Gerald Sibayan ended their marriage over the phone. Last year, Aiai confirmed her separation from Sibayan through an interview.
According to her, she was told that he was not happy anymore in being with her and that he wanted to have a baby which was something she was not able to give him. Way back in 2019, Sibayan cheated on her and this caused her to have trust issues that led her to nag him and with their separation, she has this feeling that there was a third party involved.
However, she did not dig deeper anymore. She cut their communication and she refused to communicate with him. In a previous article, Aiai shared a post about a “cheater” and a “mistress” which sparked speculation online.
People online assumed that her cryptic post was referring to her estranged husband and recently, in an interview, the comedienne shared that she had proven her husband’s infidelity. She had mixed emotions while being interviewed and admitted the pain she felt upon learning about the cheating.
On the other hand, she was also happy as it proved that what she felt all along was valid – that it was not just a product of her overthinking.
“Masakit nang kaunti pero masaya ako dahil valid pala ang lahat ng mga nararamdaman ko tungkol kay Gerald, hindi tamang hinala lang. Hindi ako nagha-hallucinate,” she expressed.
In her cryptic post, there were people who relayed to her seeing Sibayan with another girl and they were cozy with each other. For her, this kind of gesture from other people concerned about her is helping her in moving forward.
About his cheating, there were several incidents before that indicated this right in her face. There were times when he would call her “Bhe” which is far from their endearment “Darl”. There are also incidents that he would call her by a different name she could no longer remember but when asked, he would always insist she heard it wrong.
“Nagigising ako sa umaga, 7 A.M., naririnig ko na nagsasalita siya ng Ingles at may kausap. Nang tanungin ko siya kung sino ang kausap niya, wala raw. Nanonood daw siya ng TV, baka yun daw ang naririnig ko.”

She finally was able to put the pieces together and proved she was not making up and hallucinating.
